Sioned, Twm and I (Hugh Hughes, emerging artist from Wales – North Wales, Anglesey, Llangefni to be precise), have arrived at the first stop of our Canadian tour: Vancouver.
It’s not been too long since we last performed Floating (over at Dublin Theatre Festival as part of The Wonderful World of Hugh Hughes) and so it hasn’t felt too difficult to unpack the show and start again.
We’re very excited to be part of the PuSh Festival here in the city and are getting nicely settled in to our temporary home at the Arts Club Theatre.
The main purpose of this entry is really to welcome any new members of the Hugh Hughes community – by that I mean anyone who has come to see the show already. You’ll know fellow members by spotting anyone wearing one of the special badges I hand out at each performance.
It’s been a pleasure to see you at the theatre and now I hope everyone will make you feel at home here at the Wonderful World of Hugh Hughes online.
If you are new, please do have a good look around. There’s plenty to see. One possible starting point might be to head to this page where I try and share a little bit more about myself.
And it’s always great to feel connected to you so do please sign up to my mailing list (via the simple form up towards the top of the right-hand column of this website) and/or join me on Twitter or Facebook.
I thought you might also like to see what it’s like being an artist at something like the PuSh Festival here in Vancouver. I made this film a few years ago after a visit to a different festival in Prague. But I’m hoping the experience of meeting new people, both audiences and other artists will be much the same during our time in Canada.
Enjoy!
